Cooked myself some whole-wheat penne on New Year’s Eve as a mark to enjoy 2012 in a healthy manner (and also a mark to start cooking for myself). The pesto sauce tasted good, albeit too oily so I had to drain the extra olive oil before enjoying this treat.
Mom didn’t approve of the smell, though. She never really liked the smell of herbs and spices in Italian cuisine. :<
